What's this world coming to when a 50 "something" post menopausal career woman takes up blogging? It means a shift in the way one thinks about friendships, time and energy. I have realized that some positives of having a Facebook account are that I have been able to stay connected with my extremely large extended family MUCH easier, can post events to multiple friends (hardly use my other email accounts anymore), and I am part of a large network of wonderful people who challenge and inspire me through their posts. It saves me time too, and that is enormous since I have to be selective these days.
I still haven't learned how to text.....an MP3 player that was given to me three Christmasses ago still sits on the shelf in the original packaging....as does the scrapbooking bookbinding kit that Robyn gave me for Mother's Day.......(don't tell her)......the learning curve in middle age is longer....directions have to be written down in LARGE letters and if I am told anything after 6PM, (4PM really) it is guaranteed to be forgotten. That's why I just love the mornings!
Well, time to get some sleep, hopefully, so the morning will come quickly!
